Get Involved, Volunteer!

Are you interested in volunteer work with the OWWA? To apply, all you have to do is fill out an application form, and send it in to the OWWA offices. Please click on the following link to download the application: Following is a list of the OWWA committees who are currently looking for volunteers:

  • Membership

  • Training and Certification

  • Public Affairs - This committee holds meetings 3-4 times a year and can be joined via conference call. We are looking for members that are interested in helping the water industry communicate to the public and instill confidence in tap water. See our committee page for recent activities.
  • Water for People

  • Publications - Come join the Publications Committee! Suggest story ideas for our Pipeline magazine and network with water professionals across Ontario to deliver interesting news and information to our members. Committee members have the opportunity to network with other committees, the Board, and industry experts.

  • Continuing Education - This committee holds 3 meetings a year and can be joined via conference call. The committee is made up of senior engineers from consultancies and executives of municipal drinking water systems. A great place to network and make industry connections.

  • Government Affairs - The GAC conducts all its work through email. The volunteers work at their leisure reviewing and submitting comments on upcoming guidelines and legislation.

  • Youth Education - This committee meets 4 times a year, feel free to join in via conference call and refreshments are provided at all meetings.
