Young Professional Committee Spotlight

The Young Professional Committee (YPC) represents the future of the water industry in Ontario. We are comprised of Young Professionals (YPs) who have less then 10 years water industry experience. This year our committee Chair is Grant Stanley. Samantha Fraser is our Vice Chair, and Laura Borowiec is our Secretary Treasurer.

The mandate of the YPC is to provide an opportunity for YPs to learn & network within the water industry through plant tours, seminars, social events, and at the OWWA Annual Conference. In late 2007, the YPC organized several events, highlighted by our Fall Workshop titled "Only Tap Water Delivers". The technical seminar provided attendees CEUs, and given its success, we are planning a similar workshop for 2008.

In early 2008, plans are in the works for a tour of the Georgina Water Treatment System (January 26th), a Toronto Marlies Hockey Game Social (February 6th), and a Night out at the nightclub Muzic (March). We hope to see you there!
